As many of you may remember our original brand was called “Hanalei Organic.” We re-branded about 7 months ago, prior to opening our farm stand as we wanted our brand to be cohesive with both our farm stand and packaged products.

Simple, natural, local, energizing. We chose the name “Nourish Hanalei” to show our commitment to creating healthy food that will nourish our community. These are concepts we built our product line and farm stand menu around. As a brand, we needed to communicate these concepts visually in all we do.

With over 10 years of experience, Ikaika Pidot builds brands from the ground up, and earlier this year began working with us on giving Nourish Hanalei the visual voice it deserved.

Riffing off the ideas of simple and local, Ikaika took the iconic Puff and Makana mountains to create a logo representing the view from the farm stand, with a clean aesthetic to represent the wellness each of the products possess. It’s a great representation of our mission, our goals, and our vision.

After building this amazing website, the next step was to incorporate our new brand with our core values, one being our commitment to minimal waste in all aspects of our farm. For our dried fruit, cacao nibs and chocolate tea products we use compostable white rice paper bags, and we also chose to use compostable bowls and cups at our farm stand. We have straws made of corn (which we provide on request) and try to have people use reusable cutlery whenever possible. It is definitely more expensive to use compostable packaging, but it is very important for us to have a lower impact on the environment.

We’re so happy with the work Ikaika has done for us, and would recommend him for any creative work. Check out www.ikaika.agency for Ikaika’s creative portfolio, and for anyone looking for wedding, family, or couple photos, check out his photo portfolio www.ikaika.photo.
