Kaua'i Travel Update | March 2020
WOW friends! These are crazy times we are in. We hope you and your family are healthy and taking the time to slow down and appreciate the life we live and the people in it. We wanted to give you a quick update with what is going on, on Kaua'i.
As of today, March 24th, Kauai has had 3 reported cases of coronavirus. Our mayor Derek Kawakami has implemented a curfew from 9pm -5 am and all of our island's citizens have been given stay-at-home orders as to slow the spread throughout the Hawaiian chain. The governor has encouraged all visitors to postpone travel to Hawaii for 30 days until the threat of the virus has subsided and has implemented a 14 day quarantine for visitors and residents upon arrival back to Hawaii. Most local businesses and restaurants, ourselves included, have made the tough decision to close down temporarily. In the meantime we at Nourish are keeping ourselves busy in our commercial kitchen drying fruit and fulfilling online orders and wholesale orders.
Whilst all this madness is happening, we were hit with a huge storm which created massive flooding island wide. Our farm experienced another flooding episode but luckily we were more prepared this time and stronger from our last experience.
We want to send a huge MAHALO for your continued support and look forward to seeing all of our lovely customers and friends soon.
